Birthday 2011- Beaverton, OR
appetizers
I love food, so it is absolutely mandatory that there be a lot of food at my party. I told my guests that it was imperative they come hungry. With that said, my eyes have a habit of seeing more than what my stomach (along with my guests' tummies) can actually eat. I wanted to have everything, ribs, tri-tip steak, chicken, spam musubi, cupcakes, chocolate dipped strawberries, potatoes, corn, fruits, chips, everything! And I got it, haha. I kept thinking that there just wasn't enough food only to be comforted by my bf that there is more than enough food. I didn't take his advice and went out and bought more filler foods (potatoes, corn, strawberries, etc.). Let's just say, we didn't even cook all the meats and there were still soooooo much left over.
Overall, I had a lot of fun prepping for the party and making all the food. I was very optimistic and wanted to make a whole lot more food-- bake cookies, make fruit smoothies, mix drinks, but there simply wasn't enough time in the day to do all those things.
